A summary and progress of the wider factors that affects health and wellbeing of the population in Camden

This dataset contains the National Statistics Postcode Lookup (NSPL) for the United Kingdom. The NSPL relates current postcodes to a range of current statutory administrative, electoral, health and other statistical geographies via ‘best-fit’ allocation from the 2011 Census output areas. It supports the production of area based statistics from postcoded data. The NSPL is produced by ONS Geography, which provides geographic support to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and geographic services used by other organisations.

The data shows property and bid information for homes advertised by the London Borough of Camden on the Home Connections website.

This dataset contains planning applications in the London Borough of Camden dating back to 01/01/2010. Planning application extents are captured against the OS MasterMap product, due to licensing restrictions with this product, this dataset is represented as point geometry, located to the nearest OS Open Map-Local building feature. Attribution includes application number, development address, development description, registered date, decision date and case officer.

This forms part of Camden’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, focussing on the demographics of our population. This data shows breakdowns of Camden’s population by health conditions, age and sex, and by Camden ward, as supplementary information of the 2015 Camden population segmentation profile (https://opendata.camden.gov.uk/Health/Camden-Demographics-Population-Segmentation-2015/v6fr-wght). It provides the number of people, percentage of the whole population (prevalence) and Camden average for each breakdown. It only focuses on the population aged 18 and over and doesn’t show breakdowns for those diagnosed with learning disability or those aged under 65 who are diagnosed with dementia due to small numbers.

Cycling in Camden is becoming ever more popular with the introduction of safe, convenient and protected routes. There are several cycle counters in Camden which provide counts of cyclists a long these routes.

The neighbourhood profiles are 22 data profiles that, collectively, cover the whole borough of Camden. The profiles contain comprehensive, verifiable and up-to-date statistics from a variety of sources about the community characteristics, assets and strengths, challenges and needs in each neighbourhood. They are designed to help the Council, other statutory partners and the VCS understand what is being delivered in small areas and the resources that already exist in each area, and identify any gaps.

The neighbourhoods are composites of lower super output areas (LSOAs), which are smaller than wards. The neighbourhoods do not conform to administrative boundaries or electoral wards. Their borders are instead based on the actual way that residents identify with particular areas and how they really move about within certain localities.
