Unequal impact of COVID-19: BAME disproportionality
This presentation includes data from our Human Resources which shows the diversity of staff members by ethnicity and the level of their role. It also shows the breakdown of sick and isolating staff that identify as Black, Asian or other non-white ethnicities compared to White staff. This has also been broken down into service area.

This health and wellbeing profile gives an overview of the burden of ill health in Swiss Cottage, one of Camden's 18 electoral wards, focusing on areas where Councillors can take action to improve outcomes for residents.

This needs assessment provides an analysis of needs relating to the provision of sport and physical activity for young people aged 0-18 (0-25 disabled) in Camden and Islington, with a view to increasing their participation in it. - Supply and demand - the supply and demand of sport and physical activity opportunities for young people.

This Public Health Intelligence Profile analyses patterns of alcohol-specific hospital admissions in Camden in 2014/15. In Camden in 2014/15, 519 individuals aged 18 years and over were admitted to hospital specifically because of alcohol. These individuals resulted in 896 alcohol-specific hospital admissions and 3,639 days spent in hospital.

New analysis on cancer screening inequality (January 2022)
The Camden and Islington Public Health Intelligence team has recently completed an equity analysis to explore existing disparities in cancer screenings looking at the North Central London population groups before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This analysis highlights the differences in both bowel screening coverage and cervical screening coverage between certain groups (for example, by gender, age, race/ethnicity and disability status) and GP practice level. There is also an association with deprivation, and lower bower screening coverage is seen in those who smoke, those who are obese, and those with a mental health condition (both depression or severe mental health).
This analysis will help identify opportunities for local strategies and prevention to help improve overall cancer screening, and reduce inequity gaps.
