Weekly Overview

Coronavirus cases are rising in many London boroughs so we've been asking all of our communities to follow public health advice to the letter to prevent the situation getting worse.
The total number of new cases in week 2 (4th January – 10th January 2021) was 1662, this is down by 181 from the previous week.
The weekly incidence rate (new cases) per 100,000 population for the latest week is 615.5 compared to 682.5 previous week (week 1).
As of the 25th  of December, a total of 181 deaths in Camden have been COVID-19 related. There have been 13 COVID-19 related deaths in the latest week of data (week 1).
London's R number as of the 10th January was 1.1 to 1.4. This means on average every 10 people infected will infect between 11 and 14 other people. If the R value is above 1 the pandemic is growing, if it is below 1 the pandemic is shrinking.
