A data protection impact assessment (DPIA) is a process to identify privacy risks to individuals in the collection, use, storing, and disclosure of information. This allows Camden to identify problems so that risks can be removed or reduced to acceptable levels. It also reduces privacy breaches and complaints which can damage the Council’s reputation or enforcement action against it by the Information Commissioner (the regulator).
We publish these as a dataset in accordance with the Council's Data Charter and also the GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.

This dataset contains a list of locations and what day of the week they are cleaned. A 1 indicates cleansing on that day, not the frequency of cleansing; a 2 or more indicates frequency.

Street cleansing standards in Camden are independently measured by Keep Britain Tidy (KBT) three times a year to assess the condition of Camden’s street scene. The measurement shows the percentage of sections of street surveyed that are not at an acceptable standard for each cleanliness measure.

A Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) pre-screen is a shortened version of the full DPIA and is used to determine if the full assessment is needed. It should be carried out before any new data processing starts (or if the processing is already happening, before a change that will involve a high risk to individuals starts). In many cases the pre-screen is sufficient to assess and manage any risks and a full assessment is not required. Like full DPIAs, these are published in accordance with the Council's Data Charter and also the GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.”

This is a dataset of a number of Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs) Camden has with other bodies. A DSA is only used when the bodies do not have a contract, and are usually used between the council and another public sector organisation. A DSA does not give the parties any legal rights to share the data: the sharing must already be legal. DSAs are used to set out the terms and conditions to cover sharing of personal information for the reasons given in the DSA. Some may be redacted due to security or legal reasons. This is not a comprehensive set but we are working to add to it. The Metropolitan Police/Council DSAs are being developed and more will be added in 2022 as they are launched. New analysis on cancer screening inequality (January 2022) - Appendix
The Camden and Islington Public Health Intelligence team has recently completed an equity analysis to explore existing disparities in cancer screenings looking at the North Central London population groups before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This analysis highlights the differences in both bowel screening coverage and cervical screening coverage between certain groups (for example, by gender, age, race/ethnicity and disability status) and GP practice level. There is also an association with deprivation, and lower bower screening coverage is seen in those who smoke, those who are obese, and those with a mental health condition (both depression or severe mental health).
This analysis will help identify opportunities for local strategies and prevention to help improve overall cancer screening, and reduce inequity gaps.

A new wards structure comes into effect from 1 January 2022. Data from the 2011 Census has been 'best fit' to the new wards to give some idea about the demographics for the new areas. The file includes a map of the areas and is indexed by the names of the 20 new wards.
