New analysis on cancer screening inequality (January 2022) - Appendix
The Camden and Islington Public Health Intelligence team has recently completed an equity analysis to explore existing disparities in cancer screenings looking at the North Central London population groups before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This analysis highlights the differences in both bowel screening coverage and cervical screening coverage between certain groups (for example, by gender, age, race/ethnicity and disability status) and GP practice level. There is also an association with deprivation, and lower bower screening coverage is seen in those who smoke, those who are obese, and those with a mental health condition (both depression or severe mental health).
This analysis will help identify opportunities for local strategies and prevention to help improve overall cancer screening, and reduce inequity gaps.

The 2021 Census 'Approximated Social Grade' tables are a set of multi-variate cross-tabulations that provide ‘an estimation of the financial and social situation of usual residents in households and how this differs by age and sex, and ethnic group’.
This file lists and links to Approximated Social Grade tables currently available, with data extracted for Camden and statistical geographies (where available), and with Greater London and England comparisons (12 tables).

This dataset contains the National Statistics Postcode Lookup (NSPL) for the United Kingdom. The NSPL relates current postcodes to a range of current statutory administrative, electoral, health and other statistical geographies via ‘best-fit’ allocation from the 2011 Census output areas. It supports the production of area based statistics from postcoded data. The NSPL is produced by ONS Geography, which provides geographic support to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and geographic services used by other organisations.

This updated profile incorporate the most recent ward data available from population forecasts, from surveys and from administrative data to give the best current view of the local population. They include current population and forecast changes; household income levels and deprivation; local workplace employment levels; levels of welfare claimants and unemployment benefit recipients; life expectancy and crime.

The Parking Bay dataset was created in the open data portal several years ago and only exports the data as point GeoJSON.

This Python3 Script downloads Camden Council parking bay data as CSV and converts it into line/polygon GeoJSON using either the EPSG:27700 or EPSG:4326 projection (see line #25); the projection clause is not included in the file so may need to be specified when importing the file into a GIS.

The script file will need renaming from .txt to .py.

7th tranche of 2021 Census 'Topic Summary' tables: Education. These are a set of univariate tables for the topic that provide date for Camden and sub areas (where available) and provide comparator data for London boroughs, Greater London and England & Wales.
Cautionary note. 2021 Census took place during COVID-19 restrictions and some people usually resident in Camden were living elsewhere at the time and are not included in the statistics.
