The neighbourhood profiles are 22 data profiles that, collectively, cover the whole borough of Camden. The profiles contain comprehensive, verifiable and up-to-date statistics from a variety of sources about the community characteristics, assets and strengths, challenges and needs in each neighbourhood. They are designed to help the Council, other statutory partners and the VCS understand what is being delivered in small areas and the resources that already exist in each area, and identify any gaps.
The neighbourhoods are composites of lower super output areas (LSOAs), which are smaller than wards. The neighbourhoods do not conform to administrative boundaries or electoral wards. Their borders are instead based on the actual way that residents identify with particular areas and how they really move about within certain localities.

The Camden outdoor gym programme is the largest of any borough in the UK. Eight sites opened in 2009 and a further 9th site was installed in 2012. Most Camden residents live within 20 minutes of an outdoor gym. The investment in outdoor gyms followed on from a physical activity needs assessment, which identified that people in Camden found cost and access both barriers to being more physically active.
This report is the first stage of the evaluation of Camden’s outdoor gyms which aims to identify: use of outdoor gyms; increases in individual levels of physical activity as a result of outdoor gym use; and to establish what the barriers are preventing other Camden resident’s from using the outdoor gyms.

LB Camden Regeneration and Planning Annual Monitoring Report 2011/12
Monitors and analyses the performance of our planning policies and our progress on our planning policy documents.
We monitored 40 indicators in 2011/12 to track our performance against the Local Development Framework (LDF) Core Strategy and Development Policies documents. Where possible we link indicators to existing planning policies and targets, although not all indicators are directly related to planning activity. Some, such as air quality and recycling indicators, monitor the significant effects of activities on which planning has limited influence on which nevertheless provide an insight on the state of the borough and its
environment.
